0Eversden Remembers
Throughout the country towns and villages are commemorating the centenary of the start of the First World War and we thought it would be appropriate for the Eversdens to take part. The event will take place in the village hall on the evening of
Saturday 1st November at 7.30 pm.
We are planning music, slides, readings, and an exhibition of memorabilia from that time. Many people have inherited items – letters, photographs, posters, cuttings, medals, uniforms and other artefacts – and it would be interesting to share them on this occasion, whether they are directly connected with the Eversdens or from wider afield.
There will be an opportunity to view the exhibition at the start of the evening and in the interval, when drinks will be served.
Tickets can be bought/ordered from any of us and will cost
£4.00 for adults and £2.00 for children
( including a glass of wine or a soft drink)
All proceeds will be donated to Help for Heroes
If you have something that you are willing to put in the exhibition please let one of us know as soon as you can so that we can plan the display. We would like to receive the items on the afternoon of the event so that we can make sure that they are properly guarded.
We hope you will be able to join us.
