Extraordinary Meeting Minutes: Monday 31 January 2022

GREAT AND LITTLE EVERSDEN PARISH COUNCIL Extra Ordinary meeting on Monday 31st January 2022 in the Recreation Ground Car Park at 8 pm
Present: Cllr Prince (Chair), Cllr Dinsdale, Cllr Watterson, Cllr Jack, Cllr Glasse, Cllr Brown, Cllr Oliver, Cllr Mallows, Cllr O’Callaghan
1. Apologies for Absence: Helen Edwards
2. There were no Declarations of Interest.
3. Item to nominate Councillors for EWR representation
Cllr Stephen Watterson, was nominated by Cllr Mallows & seconded by Cllr Dinsdale and was elected unanimously by those present as Great Eversden’s representative to EWR Local Representatives Group
Cllr Stephanie Jacks was nominated by Cllr Mallows & seconded by Cllr Brown and was elected unanimously by those present as Little Eversden’s representative Cllr to EWR Local Representatives Group
Cllr Matthew Prince was elected unanimously by those present as stand-in for both villages
Both nominees will create unique gmail addresses for the Clerk to supply to EWR then a stand in can easily be used where necessary.
The following statement was adopted as part of this nomination:
The Parish Council’s representative is appointed to attend the meetings of the EWR Local Representatives Group to listen, receive information from EWR concerning their developing plans and related issues, and request further information for the purpose of assisting the Parish Council and its local community understand EWR’s developing plans.
The Parish Council’s representative may communicate and re-affirm the concerns about EWR’s developing plans previously communicated to EWR in the Parish Council’s written response to the 2021 non-statutory consultation.
The Parish Council representative attending the EWR Local Representatives Group is not otherwise authorised to express any opinion on behalf of the Parish Council or to participate in any decision on behalf of the Parish Council unless the Parish Council’s representative has been specifically authorised by a motion of the Parish Council in advance of the meeting of the EWR Local Representatives Group.
The meeting was closed at 20.05 pm
