The Club will celebrate it’s 55th anniversary this year.

About

The Club was formed in 1964 and used to meet on 10 occasions throughout the year. The Club is affiliated to the East of England Area of NAFAS, the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies.

Our Year

This would with the Annual General Meeting in January and the programme continues with 6 or 7 floral demonstrations, and some fun practical sessions. An illustrated talk and a garden visit or outing, are usually included in the year’s activities. Every two years the Club organises an Open Meeting in the Auditorium at Comberton Village College when a well known National or International Demonstrator is invited to demonstrate.

Club meetings start at 7.30pm with refreshments. Notices are given out and the demonstration begins at 8.00pm. Afterwards members can admire the completed arrangements and talk to the demonstrator before the arrangements are raffled.

Membership

Members pay an annual subscription of £30, which includes a small affiliation fee to the East of England Area Association and to the national organisation, NAFAS. As part of their membership fee, each member receives a copy of the East of England Area Newsletter, published twice a year, which gives details of activities throughout the Area, advertises forthcoming events and includes articles of interest.

Members are also able to subscribe to The Flower Arranger, a glossy colour magazine published four times a year by NAFAS, at a reduced rate of £1.95 an issue.
A Sales Table is organised at some meetings selling flower sundries and NAFAS publications. The small profit made is ploughed back into the Club.

Visitors are always welcome and pay £7.
