Planning Minutes: Monday 1st October 2018
PLANNING MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE PAVILION ON MONDAY 1st OCTOBER 2018 AT 8 PM
Present: Mr Dinsdale, Mrs Handley, Mrs Glasse, Mrs Mallows, Mr Prince, Mr Watterson and, in the Chair, Mr Dalton.
1. There were no apologies.
2. There were no Declarations of Interest.
3. Mr Tom Archer – Discussion with Parish Council regarding future plans of Marsh Close Firework Site
Mr Archer attended the meeting and said that he had owned March Close since January 1996. He manufacturers and imported small components as well as fireworks. Since new rules were introduced regarding CE marks the nearest notification body is in the Czech Republic. This has now made his business unviable.
He would like to investigate changing part of the 1.5 acre site to residential using a Community Development Order under the Localism Act.
The Chair thanked Mr Archer for attending and informed him the Council would discuss in more detail at the next full Council meeting.

Dr Nicola Hoyle
Erection of a single storey oak-framed outbuilding with a tiled roof for agricultural purposes.
Mr Hoyle attended the meeting and informed the Council that they had been through a pre-application process and met with the Planning Officer at SCDC and visited the site. From the last application they had reduced the mass of the building by 43% and also the height.
Following discussion Mr Prince proposed to SUPPORT the application. This was seconded by Mrs Handley. The vote was passed by majority with one abstention.
The meeting closed at 8:50 pm.
