Repair Café
We are running a Repair Café on Saturday 7th September 10am-1pm at the Village Hall.
If you have items that need mending – bikes, electric bikes, clothes, textiles, jewellery, toys, small household appliances, small electrical items, furniture etc. – what do you do with them? Bring them along to our Repair Café – a free event where you can learn a little about your broken item while a volunteer repairer assess it and, where possible, does a fix.
It’s simple – bring an item that you think still has life in it. The item will be assessed and, if it can be mended there and then, you can watch how it’s done! Note: if it needs a repair beyond our abilities we will refer you to a local repair business.
Repairs are free but we ask you to book a place in advance and to tell us a little about what you’ll be bringing. This is to make sure we have a repairer available to assess your item. If there’s a lot of interest in the event, you may have to wait a bit.
Come early or stay for tea, coffee, delicious cake and a chat.
