Quin comes to The Eversdens 1st April 2009                                          Back to Quin's Quest

Tony and Gillian are too excited to write. Luckily, there was just time for Tony to forward Quin's letter. (Ed.)

"Dear Friends

April Fool!! You thought I was going to be black didn’t you!  Actually I’m a very tasteful light golden colour, much better for showing the dirt.

What a day I’ve had!  I’m six weeks old now and this is the third day away from my Mum.  I’ve been chipped, checked, weighed and have had the biggest car ride you could ever imagine.  Leigh was up front, because I can’t drive yet.  Leigh is the Super Boss.  She’ll even tell my new foster parents Gillian and Tony what to do, phew!  We saw hundreds and hundreds of cars on the way here.  All caused by something called an Obama and a Prime mincer.  All jammed up we were.  I thought it was boring and tried my best to go to sleep but I didn’t want to miss anything.  You never know!  I’ve never seen an Obama before.

I feel much better now, I’ve just been fed. There is the most enormous dog around here, as big as my Mum.  His name is Billy.  He was surprised when I bit his tail and I can’t find the milk bar yet, but I think he likes me.

I get four meals a day but poor Billy only gets two. Being grown up must be tough.

I think I am going to like it here.

Leigh says she is coming back on Friday and we are going for a walk.

Hope you like the photographs of me, see you soon.

QUIN."
