Last letter from Quin                      9th February 2010                                                       Back to Quin's Quest

"DEAR FRIENDS    Well I’m all grown up now and off to college. I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve heard that for the first two weeks all you do is play and get to know the others already there. Apparently they have a sand pit, a maze and lots of toys.

I will have to do some training after that but it all sounds like good fun to me. My trainer is called Heath and I am looking forward to meeting him and starting on the next stage of my journey to become a Guide dog.

Thanks for reading my blog, it's been great fun doing it.

I will get the oldies to keep you up to date on how I am getting on, so it's not goodbye ...

Stop Press 26.2.10: Heath called today. He said Quin was quite homesick at first but he has settled now. Heath loves him and is thrilled at how well he is doing. He has come on so well that he is going to be put into harness for the first time today. He has become a firm favourite with everyone already. G and T

Along comes Irwin    10th February 2010
Gillian and Tony start all over again  - with Irwin.
"He is a black Labrador, smaller than Quin but with big feet so a lot of capacity for growing. He was a very sleepy puppy. We took him out a few times but he just snored. He is becoming a little livelier now .  G and T"
