A British vocalist, probably best known for her work with the iconic group Swing Out Sister where she has performed backup vocals to lead vocalist Corinne Drewery. She is also an artist in her own right and is renowned as one of the most soulful session vocalists. She has worked prolifically in jazz, R&B, groove, pop and dance music with high profile artists including ABC, Eric Clapton and Sinead O’Connor.

Gina Foster will bring her trio and play some of the hits from one of her idols Joni Mitchell.

Joni’s Soul began as a collaboration between much loved “from-the-heart” singer Gina Foster and world-class guitarist Ronnie Johnson, attracting some of UK’s very finest players with a shared love for one of the greatest singer/songwriter and guitar innovators of the last half century.

Coyote, Hejira, Edith and the Kingpin, The Hissing of Summer Lawns, A Case of You, Trouble Child, Help Me and Gina Foster’s gorgeous version of Both Sides Now – it’s through songs like these that the band explore the unique songwriting and gift of performance Joni Mitchell revealed in her iconic albums Blue, Court and Spark, Hejira, The Hissing of Summer Lawns and beyond …

Drawing on their own emotional response to these songs Joni’s Soul have looked beyond merely the faithful reproduction of the Joni Mitchell songbook to shine a light on the most soulful aspects of her words and music.

Bar opens 6pm, home cooked food available, music starts 8pm. Entry £10.

5th Sept: food van TBC.

Open 5pm until late. Crisps, & ice creams will also be available.

The darts, table tennis table, pool table and air hockey will be out.

The pop up pub at the Village Hall will be open from 5pm-10pm. It’s a very family friendly event with a traditional pub vibe.

Food will be from Papas Locas. You can pre-order via the website: https://www.papaslocas.co.uk/

The winner of the scarecrow competition & prizes will be announced at 6.00pm.

The indoor seating will be set up with the usual pub games, in addition there will be outside seating too, lots of fun for the whole family.

Dean has performed with a range of bands, supporting artists such as Nile Rodger’s and Chic. Together they perform some of their favourite songs from the last five decades.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s Eurovision win, we are presenting a Pop Up Pub + Food from @guerrillakitch + a popular on theme movie! No ticket required, come along for a night of music, drinks from the bar and fabulous fun!

1800: Doors & bar open and food van serving for early diners
2000: movie starts
Bar open throughout
2330: Event close

Raffle in aid of Meridian School PTA.

Pull me Chéri will be in attendance in front of the Village Hall on Friday 28^th February, alongside your Monthly Pop-Up Pub!

Offering French Fast Food with a variety of delicious pulled meats all served in baguette with salad & caramelised onion, also including, chips, cheesy chips, onions rings and vegetarian options available.

Pull me Chéri was set up in 2016 by the owners of the popular Le Maisone Du Steak restaurant on Hills Road, Cambridge – and quickly gained a great reputation for the quality of their food and amazing service. They’ll be a monthly pop up pub at the Village Hall starting on Friday 27th September 7:30pm with bar games, music, snacks and a cash bar. The pub is open until 11:30pm.

All proceeds from the event will go to the charity Get Kids Going! Which raises money for disabled children to give them specialised wheelchairs for sport. The next generation of paralympians!!
