A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Village Hall on Monday 16th April 2007 at 8pm.
Apologies. Mrs Clemmow, Miss Sach, Miss Hayes.
Present Mrs Handley, Mr Ellis, Mr Blatch, Mr Bane, Mr Tebbit, Mr White and, in the Chair, Mr Dalton. D.Cl. Mrs Heazell and C.Cl. Mr Kindersley were also present.

Matters arising from the Minutes
1 Footpath 13. Ivett's Lane. BT pole still there. But the email of the Chairman of BT has been obtained. The Chairman to follow this up.
2 Nixon's Hall Tablet. No further progress..
3 Land Registration of Parish Property. The survey has been carried out and now a Statutory Declaration for the three sites is required. Legal advice being taken and the matter is being progressed.
4. Hedge cutting Although letters have been sent to the owners of these hedges, no work has been carried out. The Clerk to send further, sharper letter
5. Wimpole Road repairs. The County Council Highways Division has been contacted and it is understood that remedial work will be carried out. The chairman agreed to contact them to find out when this would be done.
6 Footpath 25. Although two letters had been sent to Mr Sale, no reply had been received. .Mrs Handley mentioned that a gate had been set in the fence at each end of the original line of the footpath. The Chairman agreed to inspect and report.
7. Tennis Club. This would seem to be delayed for the present. Mr Wood, the secretary outlined the situation and intimated that further discussions were in progress. A public meeting had been held, but was attended by few.
8. Road at St Helen's. Amber Developments have offered the piece of road outside Plot 3 of Church Lane to the Parish Council for a nominal sum. Although this would resolve the parking problem at the Church, issues such as responsibility for maintenance, and agreed access for neighbours were a concern and need to be addressed. Our solicitors have been informed but not yet instructed.
9. Bus Service changes. No changes to affect the villages
10. Village Plan It was agreed that Mr White would circulate a letter throughout the villages outlining the benefits of a Village Plan and encouraging support. He would then call a Public Meeting at a later date.
11. RECAP (recycling) Meeting. Miss Sach had attended this meeting and reported that she found it well run and helpful. The organisers were aware of the situation in the Eversdens concerning the three collection points. Any income is ploughed back into SCDC's shortfall now, but may change in the future. She asked about the possibility of a plastic collection at the Recreation Field. Cl. Mrs Heazell endorsed what Miss Sach had reported and said plastic was a problem because of its bulk.
12. Milton Country Park. No further information available.

Agreed to purchase a litter bin for the bus shelter opposite the Hoops. Mr Blatch to check catalogues for a suitable one.
14. Cl. Kindersley
15. Cl. Mrs Heazell reported problems concerning the Council's housing stock. It was proposed to spend the sum of £750,000 on tenant consultation before a survey of housing stock had been made. At present they do not know if they are to keep their housing stock or pass it to a Housing Association.
16 The Hoops, Gt. Eversden. It is understood that negotiations are still taking place. It is planned to provide Indian and Chinese food as a restaurant and take-away. There would also be provision for a bar.
18. Planning
Mrs Perrot, Rear of 6 Lowfields. Development of 2 houses. Refused by SCDC
Mr and Mrs Gutsell, 4 Lowfields. Demolition and replacement by 2 dwellings. Refused by SCDC
E and L Wood. Gt Eversden. Conversion of Barn. Approved by SCDC.
Redwood, 1a Wheeler's Way Extension. Approved by PC, but draw attention to benefit of trees in garden hedge.
Miss Sach had enquired if an application for development which goes to appeal with amendments would be seen by the PC. Cl. Mrs Heazell said that Appeals dealt with the original application and no amendments are considered.
19 The resignation of Mr Tony Bane was received with regret. Agreed the Casual Vacancy would be advertised and the District Council informed immediately.
20. Mr White reported that his wife was no longer acting as Village Correspondent for the Cambridge Evening News.
