Euan Dunn MBE

Polar Connections Index

Euan is Head of Marine Policy at the RSPB and he manages, among other things, the RSPB’s contribution to the Save the Albatross Campaign. In 2007 he received the MBE in recognition of his work in this campaign. Much of his time now is spent in lobbying politicians and he seldom gets the opportunity to be involved in fieldwork.

For this reason he treasures his memories of travels to subantarctic regions, the Falklands, and also to Greenland and other wild places.

Euan and his wife, Valerie, and their daughter, Phoebe, have made Great Eversden their home for about seven years. Euan can occasionally be spotted up Wimpole Hill keeping track of the local bird population. That is when he isn't in Brussels, or checking up on his native Scotland, or counting albatrosses on some distant, beautiful - and cold - island.
