Another section of St Mary's wall was repaired in 2008. David Ellis cleared the site and got started in earnest in May. August and September saw the biggest changes. Each clunch block was cut to shape and fitted. On the 15th September the Ellis prototype bulb planter was put to good use. Then on the 16th March 2009 the first daffodil flowered.

With the tower under wraps for half of 2008, this work on the wall was largely unsung. Another job for the village well done. (Ed.)
