Distant friends and relatives may like to see these pictures. Please tell them. Apparently some of them miss our Winters! I can picture them barbecuing on a beach somewhere, covered in sunblock, sipping a cool Fosters, and sighing wistfully for cold hands and feet, mufflers and mittens, slush, traffic gridlock, and the annual bleats about a few inches of snow bringing the country to a standstill.

I include at the end the only two pictures sent in response to my invitation. Thanks, Jill Marshall. Jill was out before dawn on the 18th. The other pictures are of Great Eversden. The drifting up the hill was spectacular. (DF)
