According to our man with the rain gauge, David Ellis, almost no rain fell on Buck's Lane throughout all of March and April. (Click for rainfall records) The little shower on the 8th dried up by lunchtime and today, the 9th, is sunny again. I took to the fields (with the appropriate permission) to have a closer look. Crops are standing still. Garden ponds are sinking. Our streams are trickles. Will it ever rain again? (DF)
