A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Village Hall on Monday 4th October at 8.30pm.

Present Mrs Handley, Mr Blatch, Mr Tebbit, Mrs Pritchard, Mrs Hobbs, Mr White and, in the Chair, Mr Dalton.
It was proposed that the Parish Council forthwith apply for planning consent for the placement of two multi-purpose courts at the north end of the Recreation Ground generally to plans supplied by the Recreation Ground Committee.
There was general approval for the plans, but concern was expressed that lighting was to be installed on one of the courts. Assurance was given that these lights would be much less intrusive than those at Comberton Village College, and were regarded as essential to the scheme.
The proposal was carried by 6 votes in favour with 1 abstention.
It was proposed that the sum of £600 be expended on continuing the visits of the Connections Bus until Christmas by which time it is hoped to have found some other sources of funding.
This was unanimously agreed.
It was noted that the resignation of Mrs Bella Connolly has been received by the Clerk and she is forthwith requested to advertise the vacancy.
