The Eversdens Parish Council will be hosting an online event with candidates standing for election as Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough on Wednesday 7 April 2021, from 7:00pm-8:30pm.


The three Mayoral candidates standing for election as candidates for the Conservative Party, Labour Party and Liberal Democrats have all agreed to participate: James Palmer (Conservative), Nik Johnson (Labour), and Aidan Van de Weyer (Liberal Democrat)


The focus of the event will be on the East West Rail project and related issues of importance to South Cambridgeshire communities, Cambridge and the wider region.


There will be a structured discussion around a number of questions that the candidates will be sent in advance, followed by a time-limited opportunity for members of the public to pose questions to be addressed by the Mayoral candidates.


All interested residents of the Eversdens, and of other South Cambridgeshire communities potentially affected by the East West Rail project, are warmly invited to attend.
