We travelled as far as Jordan on Saturday night and yet we didn’t move an inch. The world instead came to the Village Hall. Food glorious food, buckets of the stuff, both hot and cold, spicy and mild, titillating the palette and all the time tempting one to take more. Thirty Oliver Twists, all rattling plates and cutlery and demanding another portion.

Yes it was the International Supper with food from Ireland, England, Italy, France, Greece and finally Jordan with a pudding from each to follow.

What a spread and what a night. I may live to eat again but probably not for a week at least.
