Christingle Service at St Helen's           6th December 2009            Back to Eversden Events Index

The Christingle service at St Helen's, Little Eversden, was a delightful family event. The children made their Christingles with only a little help from The Rev. Michael Matthews. Jill Marshall took these pictures and caught the atmosphere as well as the industry.

Though they originated in Germany in 1747, Christingle Services were introduced into the Anglican Church as recently as 1968. The Christingle is a symbol of the Christian faith for children. Read more here (click).
