Competing with the rain and the Nadal/Federer Wimbledon Final, the Eversdens Youth Brass Band (see Clubs) staged their first public performance at the Pavilion. Refreshments were available and a book stall. Families and friends gathered. The band played an ambitious programme lasting about half an hour. This is clearly a dedicated group of young people and adults giving something special to the villages. A truly excellent event - the first of many? (A bandstand in the Rec? Just a thought! Ed.)
