| The Oxfam Walkers enjoy The Eversdens
11th May 2008
Back to Eversden
Events Pictured The disaster in Burma gave
special significance to the 2008 Oxfam Walk. In South Cambs it was a perfect
May day. The villages did the walkers proud with refreshments, smiles,
and encouragement. It was wonderful, too, to see how many people had given a
day to support Oxfam's work. Few realised they were criss-crossing the
Greenwich Meridian even though they trod the line between East and West on their approach to the
recreation ground. There was a festive feel to the day - only a few blisters -
and great good will. Well done Oxfam, walkers, AND the Eversdens. |
