The Eversden Brass Band The band was founded in 2007 when it was found that some young musicians were practising on their own and not getting the enjoyment of playing with others. The band has progressed to the point that it can now boast to have taught some members from scratch through to being able to perform in public. It has acquired a number of instruments that members can borrow and a growing library of music suitable for musicians at all levels and all ages – from Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance through to Bob the builder! The band is now looking to encourage more members to come and join us for a bit of fun and pleasure whilst making music. Starting as a Youth band, we are now opening our doors to adults, so whether young or old and regardless of how well you can or cannot play. If you would like to try your hand at brass banding, then please get in touch – we can even teach those who cannot read music and depending on availability can lend an instrument. We meet on Sunday afternoons at the Recreation Ground in Little Eversden, 16:30 until 18:00 and we really do welcome new members. The band welcomes support so if you have an old brass instrument no longer in use and would like to donate it, or would like to sponsor us, then please contact us. The band is available for performances but please bear in mind that we only undertake bookings suitable for a training band.
